Bumping the throttle causes the idle to decrease and allows grind free shifting. I have lowered the idle on my mule to allow shifting but the problem is that the engine doesn't like to idle that slow and usually stalls.The problem is that Kawasaki has an electric fuel pump in the Mule that provides too much pressure for the float/needle to shut off the gas flow.
